Trends come and go in the fickle world of fashion and couture price points can be intimidating (and, let’s be honest, ridiculous at times). The key is using the catwalk as inspiration. It’s about knowing where to go and what to invest (or not invest) in once you get there. That's where I come in. After close to a decade working in the high-end fashion industry, I’ve got some tricks up my three-quarter length sleeve. I’ve boiled it down into three simple steps (I love a good list...):

It starts when the models do their little turn on the catwalk:
Current fashion trends from top designers in the industry have been created for far less than couture prices. By season (Fall or Spring), the looks from New York, to Paris, to Milan Fashion Weeks are broken down piece by piece bringing them from the runway to the real world using the best on-line shopping resources out there. From lightweight dresses to classic outerwear the leg work is already done for you.

Who’s on top this week:
Next, there are hundreds of fashion picks and tips that get lost in the shuffle when scouring the web to create the runway looks for less. These little style ‘gems’ find a home in the Top 5 fashion finds that are updated weekly. Top picks i.e. the latest sales, new designers to watch, must-have products,etc. can be found here.

Get off the bench…You’re the M.V.P in this game:
Are you a fan of the argyle sweater from the Giorgio Armani Fall post or did we miss the mark and you found a better option? Have a favorite product that deserves time in the Top 5 spotlight? Do you own the ‘Piya’ platform pumps from the Missoni Fall post and know that they run a size small?
Be heard and give back to other web shoppers that are searching for anything from a classic black pump to the perfect pair of jeans (if that really exists; personally I’m convinced it’s an fashion myth), and the list continues...

Bottom line: Pay it fashion forward.
